Job Description:

The Automotive Marketing Manager is responsible for driving global automotive marketing and business development activities. This role leads the global Automotive Marketing team, defines and executes the worldwide automotive strategy in collaboration with Microchip Business Units and Microchip global field sales organization. The position has a global responsibility with strong exposure to customers, partners, associations, and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global Automotive Marketing team, setting clear priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
  • Drive global automotive business development activities, finding growth opportunities, and driving revenue expansion across regions.
  • Set targets and define success KPIs for funnel growth, design win and revenue growth.
  • Define and execute the global automotive marketing strategy in alignment with Microchip Business Units and Microchip Corporate objectives.
  • Maintain strong, senior-level relationships with Microchip Business Units to ensure alignment on strategy, priorities, and execution.
  • Represent APG and Automotive Marketing in global and regional strategy discussions, including Microchip BUs and Microchip Corporate reviews.
  • Position and promote Microchip automotive products and solutions globally, working closely with Microchip BUs and regional field sales teams.
  • Support the Microchip field sales organization with market insights, value propositions, positioning, and customer engagement.
  • Act as the primary go-to person streamlining APG / BU collaboration and information flow.
  • Identify global automotive market trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics, and influence Microchip BU product roadmaps accordingly.
  • Work closely with Microchip BUs and Central Marketing Team for pricing reviews and pricing strategies to win new business.
  • Support and participate in key customer engagements, executive briefings, and strategic opportunities.
  • Drive global marketing activities such as tradeshows, conferences, customer events, technical articles, web content, and public presentations.
  • Ensure consistent global messaging and alignment across regions while accommodating regional market needs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (BSEE or equivalent required; advanced degree a plus).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in the automotive semiconductor industry or closely related markets.
  • Proven experience in automotive marketing, business development, product marketing, and/or strategic sales roles.
  • Strong understanding of the global automotive market, automotive systems, and semiconductor solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or within global Business Units and influencing product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building, leading, and motivating international teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with customers, executives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a strong advantage.
