What youโ€™ll do

The Senior Communications Executive supports key internal and external communications programs across Cartologyโ€™s owned media channels. The role is responsible for executing Cartologyโ€™s digital marketing strategy across Australia and New Zealand with support from the Group Communications Manager to grow brand engagement and advocacy.ย 

This role will be the key conduit between Cartology and its digital agency for optimal website management, maintaining relationships internally and externally and managing workflow and priorities on a monthly basis. You will also develop short form content to support Cartology initiatives across social, newsletters and more.ย 

You will be deeply connected to Cartologyโ€™s People and Culture teams, to support Cartology and Group initiatives through internal communications and internal events where aligned with our business needs. You will be deeply connected into internal stakeholders and an advocate for Cartology and support in creating a positive team experience.ย 

You will be an advocate for industry awards programs, identifying key awards programs and categories to align with our business strengths and opportunities. Furthermore, your storytelling capabilities will elevate our business and our people into award winning nominations.ย 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with Cartologyโ€™s digital agency, you will manage website content publishing approved updates and continuing to optimise the Cartology website for a best in class experienceย 
  • Always on social content that brings Cartologyโ€™s brand and EVP to life, driving growth in our following and an ongoing uptick in engagement including any strategic recommendations for paid activity ย 
  • Internal communications and events that supports business needs and the People teamย 
  • Communications support for key marketing programs of work in collaboration with the marketing teamย 
  • Craft compelling content for newsletters, social media, major programs of work and other communications channelsย 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across our communications channels
  • Track content and campaign performance across social, web and emailย 
  • Support in awards nominations for selected team membersย 
  • Monthly internal and external communications reporting and competitive analysisย 
  • Be well networked across Cartology and the broader Woolworths Group and understand key priorities.

What youโ€™ll bring

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional, with a creative eye and passion for storytelling for commercial benefit. This role will be an inspiring advocate for Cartology, and collaboration skills are key to successfully network and work effectively across the wider Woolworths Group.ย 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the media and trade marketing discipline
  • Experience in developing and executing digital marketing and communications ย programs
  • Experience across FMCG brand would be advantageous
  • Strong written communications capabilities for internal and external channels
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skillsย 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in an ecosystem business
  • Understanding of the client community and internal teams - their needs and challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to flourish in ambiguity, be proactive and curious
