Senior Client Director

Creatively driven, entrepreneurial and respected, you set the standard for exceptional account leadership. The Senior Client Director is responsible for leading integrated programs for clients in their portfolio, growing new and existing pieces of business, developing, and owning senior stakeholder relationships with our clients and within Bastion, whilst also being responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue & profit targets within your group.
As a trusted influencer in the Experiential and Partnership space, you build cross discipline teams around a brief that people want to be part of. You don't just make sure the work happens, you make sure it's the result of true team collaboration. You are an expert at navigating agency processes and complex organisations and play an integral role in the management of a broad range of projects and workstreams. In an increasingly growing competitor agency landscape, this role requires you to think outside the box with client engagement and marketing our point of difference.
Direct reports: across both Sydney and Melbourne, which will require time spent in Sydney and Melbourne to remain present with the team and client engagement.
What You’ll Do:
- An expert on the client business – you apply business understanding to strategic and creative debate to ensure all outcomes align with the client’s business objectives
- Be a trusted influencer and indispensable to the client team – you are responsible for building and nurturing effective client relationships
- Ensure client and project profitability and efficient management of resources, confidently driving productivity and profitability
- Proactive in seeking opportunities to activate additional agency capabilities in service of the client’s business needs, you anticipate and understand client requirements, challenges and opportunities
- Interpret client briefs, evaluate responses, challenge and inspire all teams to deliver creative, innovative solutions for solving our client’s business problems.
- Work with the Creative Director, Head of Production and Head of Experiences to ensure work is best in class, keeping our Bastion Experience service offerings, product and brand highly competitive in the market
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, budget and to the highest quality possible
- Lead the pitching and presenting of thought leadership, ideas and strategic business solutions to client
- Initiating and managing all client relationship building activities
- Build strong relationships with clients’ key external agencies when part of a village model
- Build exceptional relationships with discipline teams amongst Bastion and understand their capabilities – stay up to date with their offering, evolving capabilities and engage them in your client’s business.
- Oversee the onboarding of new clients ensuring the client is set up for success

Growth
- Understand topline profitability across the agency and be accountable for agreed revenue targets
- Lead and drive the financial reporting and forecasting for smooth running of your client group
- Extracting opportunities for clients based on understanding and ability to solve client problems
- Accountable for nominated client revenue budgets, including regularly tracking and reviewing annual revenue forecasts and budgets and developing proactive plans for any projected revenue gaps
- Actively seeks to improve financial and operational capability of the department and ensures all direct reports are accurate in their short-term forecasting, timely invoicing, and timely reconciliations.
- Drive growth by actively participating in new business development and conversion
- Responsible for ensuring compliance against clients contracts & procurement needs (Experience, financial and operational)
