- Create Rural and Primary Industry Content
- Fixed term contract for approximately 12 months
- Base salary $72K - 90K
- Presenting engaging Rural & Primary Industry stories or News, Q&A’s, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories.
- Prepare and present content for the Rural Report and Country Hour.
- Contributing to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
- In collaboration with colleagues identifying and developing local content that can be shared with other content teams and across the ABC on multiple platforms.
- Proficient editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement.
- Demonstrated experience in live presentation and broadcast (preferable but not essential.)
- Detailed understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience.
- Demonstrated proficient cross-platform production skills.
- Proficient time management and communication skills to work effectively the broader team and co-ordinate output with the state and national news desks.
