The Role
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced reporter, ready to join our creative and dedicated team in Mackay? We are seeking a reporter to create content for broadcast, social media and online platforms to engage and inform audiences.
The Job
We are looking for a dynamic and driven reporter to create news content for multiple platforms. Reporting to the Editor ABC Tropical North, the role will involve:
The position is based in Mackay but serves a region including Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, the mining region west to Moranbah and Dysart and agricultural areas south to Sarina and St Lawrence. It is a diverse region, with fishing, snorkelling, rainforests, and tropical islands on your doorstep. The region boasts more than 30 beaches, a thriving arts community and other great lifestyle opportunities.
