The Role

The ABC is looking for an experienced Reporter to create news content to meet changing coverage and content requirements across all platforms based in Alice Springs

The Job

• Create clear news content for diverse audiences
• Present news bulletins, Q&A's, interviews and packages
• Coordinate with Local Editor on content distribution, news and identify content for broader ABC use
• Collaborate across locations on common stories and adapt to changing media landscape
• Reflect national diversity in storytelling and engage communities to find relevant stories

About You

You are a seasoned journalist with a high level of editorial skills and experience in breaking news and generating original stories in a daily news environment. You also have a thorough understanding of issues and events in the region.

You'll have:

• Advanced cross-platform production abilities
• Confident live broadcast presenter
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Understanding of content strategy and audience needs
• A demonstrated and ongoing interest and passion in finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity
• Valid driver's license essential
