Job Description

Bring your unique editorial edge to Australia's premier media landscape and lead the way in high-stakes, multi-platform news delivery. This role is designed for a dynamic storyteller focused on breaking agenda-setting exclusives and driving impactful investigations in a fast-paced environment. It is a compelling opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our national newsroom and connect with audiences across the country.

Day to day you will:

  • Drive exclusive news by identifying, chasing, and delivering agenda-setting stories.
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted, diverse contacts and key relationships across various sectors.
  • Produce high-quality, multi-platform reports tailored for TV, digital, and social media.
  • Deliver confident, expert live crosses and reports, especially during breaking news events.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards, promoting journalistic excellence and collaboration.
  • Maintain flexibility to operate across a seven-day roster and travel as required.

What you'll bring:

  • A proven track record of consistently breaking significant, agenda-setting exclusive stories.
  • A commanding, professional on-air presence suitable for a national audience.
  • Comprehensive journalistic expertise across research, writing, and interviewing.
  • A strategic editorial mindset with a deep understanding of the modern news cycle.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach that leverages digital tools for maximum audience reach.
  • Prior experience in high-pressure newsrooms, demonstrating resilience and agility.
