Job Description: Business Overview The Marketing Division leads brand, creative, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services. Department Overview The Corporate Marketing Planning Office collaborates with stakeholders both inside and outside the division, including senior management, and takes on the role of leading the planning, execution, and promotion of cross-organizational projects. We also lead the establishment of the foundation for organizational management, including budget management and the planning and administration of business operations for the entire division. Through these roles, we aim to ensure the implementation of marketing strategies across the entire group and contribute to the further growth of the Rakuten Group. Position: Why We Hire As the Rakuten Group expands its business, the scope of initiatives involving the Marketing Division has broadened, making collaboration with various stakeholders increasingly important. To strengthen our structure for steadily advancing these mid-to-long-term projects in cooperation with relevant departments, we are now seeking to add new members to our team. We are looking for individuals who can translate cross-group initiatives into reality on the ground and lead projects. Position Details You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and promotion of cross-group initiatives led by the Marketing Division. Through collaboration with stakeholders both inside and outside the division, you will have the opportunity to tackle a wide variety of themes and challenges in the marketing field. Examples of duties: - Planning, KPI management, and execution support for improving marketing efficiency across the entire Rakuten Group - Planning, execution support, and business promotion for cross-group initiatives - Coordination, issue organization, and consensus building with stakeholders inside and outside the division - Data analysis and visualization related to the Rakuten ecosystem and company-wide performance - Creation of reporting materials for senior management and support for strategy formulation - Budget management (from the perspective of financial and management accounting) and planning/management of business processes necessary for organizational operations Work Environment - We are an organization of about 10 people - Our members come from diverse backgrounds, including those who joined as mid-career hires Mandatory Qualifications: - At least 3 years of practical experience in corporate planning, management administration, business planning, or business management at a business corporation, or project experience at a consulting firm - Experience in project management or driving business initiatives that involve multiple departments - Logical thinking skills and the ability to organize and structure events/information - Japanese: Fluent (Business level or above) - English: Intermediate level or above Desired Qualifications: - Project experience in the marketing field or practical experience in KPI management - Experience leading business process re-engineering (BPR) projects in a large organization - Experience in decision-making support using BI tools and data analysis - Experience in planning and managing important meetings, such as management meetings - Knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting (e.g., P/L management, budget vs. actual analysis) [ id: cmorec cmpo] #business #marketingdiv Languages: English (Overall - 2 - Intermediate), Japanese (Overall - 4 - Fluent) In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future.
