- Location: Cairns, QLD
- Salary $77K - $94,622K plus 15.4% nominated super
- Prepare distinctive and compelling content across all platforms that engages local audiences, including Q&As, packages, scripts, interviews and breaking news; and present local programs as required.
- Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.
- Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.
- Cross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.
- Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
- Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.
- Possession of a current and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to various locations.
- 15.4% ABC Nominated super.

About You
You have the necessary producing experience and presentation skills to be successful in this role. You have accomplished program making skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for target audience. With a willingness to work in a collaborative way as part of the ABC Far North Queensland team under the direction of the bureau Editor.
