Your Impact

This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of coffee expertise,
customer success, and commercial sales. As our Coffee Sales & Support Expert for
New Road Coffee, you will be the driving force behind how we grow, onboard, and
retain our Away From Home and On Premise customer base across Queensland.

You will spend most of your time on the road visiting customers across the full
state, partnering with our sales teams to convert coffee opportunities, guiding
new customers through onboarding, and making sure our existing customers are
getting the most out of the New Road offering. You will also play a key internal
role, building coffee knowledge and capability within our wider sales teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Field Sales, Key Accounts, and On Premise teams to identify,
    validate, and convert coffee leads
  • Represent the full New Road value proposition to prospective customers
    including product range, service model, and equipment offering
  • Advise commercial teams on pricing, package inclusions, and the competitive
    advantages of New Road vs other coffee brands
  • Support the closing of coffee deals across both individual and group accounts
  • Guide newly signed customers through the full onboarding process in line with
    agreed timelines
  • Coordinate machinery installation with suppliers and ensure customers are
    scheduled for ongoing technical support
  • Manage relationships across suppliers, customers, and internal Asahi teams to
    ensure SLAs are met
  • Keep existing customers engaged with new products, coffee education, barista
    training, and technical support opportunities
  • Deliver and coordinate online and in-person training for customers, including
    coaching Train the Trainers within customer businesses
  • Ensure customers are actively using the digital learning programme following
    onboarding
  • Deliver ongoing coffee capability training for the Away From Home and On
    Premise sales teams
  • Share market and industry knowledge to help the broader commercial team
    identify and target the right customers

About You

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves coffee and can bring both the
expertise and the energy to represent New Road in the field. You do not need to
have done this exact role before, but you will need to demonstrate a solid
foundation in both coffee and customer-facing work.

You will bring:

  • Meaningful coffee industry experience, whether as a barista, coffee trainer,
    roaster, or similar spanning a few years or more
  • Experience supporting or working alongside a sales team in a B2B or
    hospitality-facing environment
  • A strong ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships, from new
    business conversations through to resolving technical issues
  • Confidence on the road, covering all of Victoria with a journey-based
    schedule
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet across a
    wide range of customer situations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels, from
    cafe owners to group account decision makers

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience with coffee machinery installation, maintenance, or technical
    support
  • Background in territory or account management
  • Experience training others including group or multi-site accounts
