Media Strategy Manager

The purpose of this role is to partner with communications planning teams and clients to create strategic outputs including insight generation, cultural narrative, media briefs, creative media solutions and go-to market activations.

We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Media Strategy Manager (or Media Strategy Director) with our awesome team in Melbourne! You will have the opportunity to work closely with our respective clients, and will be expected to work with the Client Directors and Managers as well as Partners to integrate yourself within our client teams, and establish yourself as a key team member in building and maintaining our client relationships.

We are also eager to speak with more senior candidates at Strategy Director level who are looking for a part-time option of 3-4 days per week dependent on experience.

The role:

As our next Media Strategy Manager you will work closely with and have the full support of your broader Strategy team, with a particular focus on working with the Group Strategy Director to develop our product offering and establish ourselves as a market leader in what we offer our clients.

Core responsibilities:

  • Build strategic responses for client briefs and collaborate with the client team to deliver this
  • Use various research sources and tools to deliver a point of view around a client's business/category, culture and consumer
  • Grow your experience in other strategic areas including thought leadership and new business
  • Derive insights and build audience insights by compiling, analysing and interpreting information
  • Produce key strategic outcomes from data diagnosis
  • Utilise tools and systems to identify, extract, and act on consumer insights and trends relating to our industry

A bit about you:

  • Strong media channel planning experience
  • Experience across a mix of disciplines (e.g. Planning, Account Service, Project Management, Investment, Performance, Data and Analytics etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the AU media landscape
  • An appetite to learn and grow within our industry and team
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Enjoy working as a part of a team
  • An expertise in both people & category
  • Ability to interpret data to derive insights
