Reporting to: Head of Marketing
Purpose
Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns within the Brand, Marketing and Communications team at the VRC. This role ensures brand consistency and governance across all touchpoints, while contributing to the effective development and execution of communication strategies aligned with VRC’s broader business and marketing objectives.
Stakeholders
Internal: C-Suite, Executive General Managers, Department Heads & Managers and the wider VRC Team.
External: Suppliers, Vendors, Stakeholders, Partners, Sponsors, Members and Guests, and the wider industry networks and associations.
Focus
- Lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, development, execution and evaluation of a range of multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Develop campaign strategies for assigned campaigns in partnership with the Head of Marketing, translating business objectives, audience insights and marketing KPIs into clear, integrated campaign plans.
- Manage key internal stakeholders for campaigns ensuring expectations are met and act as the key marketing lead and point of accountability for assigned campaigns.
- Own the development of accurate and insightful post campaign reports within four weeks of campaign completion, identifying key learnings and recommendations to inform future activity
- Ensure assigned campaign plans and trackers remain accurate and current, supported by the Marketing and Media Coordinator.
- Identify and oversee photography and imagery requirements, ensuring outputs align to campaign strategy and brand requirements
- Manage allocated campaign budgets
- Monitor campaign performance against agreed KPIs, working with relevant channel leads to identify optimisation opportunities and ensure learnings are captured and applied to future campaigns.
- Lead/participate in Campaign WIPs for assigned campaigns, ensuring actions, decisions, risks and priorities are clearly communicated and progressed.
- Own the strategic and campaign requirements of creative briefs for assigned campaigns, ensuring objectives, audience, messaging and deliverables are clearly defined
- Assist with creative oversight, brand custodianship and support other adhoc marketing or design requests where required.
- Have a service mindset and build positive relationships across the business, ensuring campaign requirements and stakeholder requests are managed with a positive, responsive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across all assigned campaign outputs, escalating significant brand or creative decisions to the Head of Marketing where required.
- Ensure all stakeholders are engaged and included on development of strategies and creative solutions including content leads and talent
- Develop positive and effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop successful working relationships with external suppliers
- Support other team members when workflow/capacity requires
- Engage in a positive and professional manner with all VRC and external stakeholders, lead by example through behaviours aligned to the VRC values and strategy.
- Promote collaborative cross-functional project delivery within the VRC.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing Marketing team and identify opportunities to improve campaign processes and ways of working.
- Participate in regular performance and evaluation reviews with the Head of Marketing
- Participate in marketing WIPs weekly
- Establish and lead an effective working rhythm for assigned campaign working groups.
- Communicate constantly with key stakeholders, teammates and other people throughout the company.
- Ensure internal comms are considered and kept up to date throughout campaign periods
Core Capabilities
Minimum of 5 – 7 years' experience in marketing, implementing multiple brand, multiple market, high volume, brand, retail or tactical campaigns and events that manage and build brand equity consistently. Experience in creative agency, retail marketing, martech, communications or campaign role preferred.
Tertiary qualifications in subjects related to marketing or advertising are preferred.
Demonstrate a proven ability to work within a team to produce the best work possible marketing output for the VRC.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Applications, in particular Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Well-developed planning and organising capabilities in a high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail.
Ability to understand competing requirements and exercise highly developed prioritisation skills to deliver multiple tasks on time and on budget.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making.
