Manager, Public Affairs and Communications (3-month contract)
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage both in-house and external design and production teams to ensure the high-quality and timely production of diverse corporate communication collaterals
- Spearhead the end-to-end production of URA’s corporate publications, most notably the annual report, ensuring full adherence to internal procedures, procurement protocols, accounting compliance, budgets, and deadlines
- Strategically safeguard and elevate the corporate identity, enforcing strict brand consistency across all visual communications to align with and drive the Authority’s business objectives
- Advise cross-functional internal departments as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on creative development, design workflows, production budgeting, and external vendor sourcing etc.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors from time to time
Requirements:
- Degree holder in public relations, communications, advertising, marketing or related fields
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in multi-media production, advertising, promotion and marketing
- Proven experience in both content editing and production coordination for large scale corporate publications
- Good knowledge of the current trend in design and illustrations
- Familiarity with urban renewal will be beneficial
- A self-initiated team player who is creative, resourceful and attentive to details
- Good communication skills and command of verbal and written Chinese and English
