The Marketing & Recruitment department at INSEAD drives global outreach to attract top talent for the school's programs. It develops strategic marketing initiatives and recruitment efforts to engage prospective students and strengthen INSEAD’s brand presence worldwide.
INSEAD is seeking a Manager, Direct Marketing to join our Marketing & Recruitment department. This is a full-time, permanent contract position based at our Asia Campus in Singapore. A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

About the job

Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing Strategy, you will manage the planning and execution of outbound direct marketing campaigns across email, WhatsApp/SMS, and other evolving engagement or conversational tools, to ensure personalised, timely, and data-driven communications, to effectively reach prospective participants and support marketing and conversions, aligned with portfolio strategy/targets.

Your role within the team

  • Direct Marketing Planning & Execution
    Develop, plan and deploy targeted outbound campaigns aligned with programme objectives and audience needs across email, WhatsApp, SMS, chat agents, and other emerging conversational channels
    Ensure precise segmentation and personalisation throughout the customer journey, from awareness to enrolment and post-engagement.
  • Automation, AI & Workflow Management
    Use marketing automation platforms to design journeys, configure workflows, manage segmentation, QA, and scheduling
    Leverage AI for automation, personalisation, targeting, predictive insights, and optimisation at scale, while refining workflows for efficiency, scalability, and improved outcomes.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimisation
    Adopt a data-driven approach to monitor campaign performance across channels, analysing engagement metrics, running A/B and multivariate tests, and recommending improvements to boost conversion and ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    Collaborate within Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Recruitment, and other internal teams to ensure message alignment and operational excellence
    Maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, agencies, and technology partners.
  • Compliance, Governance & Quality Control
    Ensure campaigns meet data compliance, privacy requirements, and brand guidelines.
    Uphold high standards for message accuracy, deliverability, and customer experience.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    Stay abreast of trends in direct marketing, automation, conversational AI, emerging technologies, and channel innovations
    Identify new engagement opportunities, contribute to process improvements, and team knowledge sharing.

Quantitative Dimension of the job

  • Meet Direct Marketing campaign engagement performance targets
  • Support and deliver campaigns for the full portfolio (DP, SDP and EDP)
  • Execute and automate campaigns annually Implement 250 manual campaign executions per year as a team
  • Provide campaign and platform support to PM and Events teams

The ideal candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years in direct marketing (or related field) with experience in marketing automation & CRM systems
  • Proven ability in campaign execution, segmentation and customer journey mapping
  • Higher education or B2C experience advantageous
  • Strong written & verbal communication in English
  • Excellent planning, time management & organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, accountable & detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Strategic thinker with analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in marketing automation & CRM systems (Eloqua/Salesforce is advantageous)
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for targeting & optimisation
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for email templates
  • Skilled in campaign performance analysis
  • Collaborate closely with your team to find innovative ways to exceed customer expectations every day
