About the Role
Assist the manager or above to perform supervisory duties and help generate sales, meet individual sales targets and manage a portfolio of renewal and new business.
Duties / Accountabilities
- Assist the manager or above to perform supervisory duties;
- Help generate sales, meet individual sales targets and manage a portfolio of renewal and new business;
- Help introduce products & services to clients & intermediaries by developing and maintaining good working relationship with them through regular visits;
- Provide quotation & advice to clients / intermediaries as well as handle services & product enquiries;
- Support the team in organizing marketing activities and promotional campaigns;
- Obtain and maintain license as an individual insurance agent of Blue Cross with the Insurance Authority, and, where necessary, upon successful licensing as individual insurance agent with the Insurance Authority, advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or carry on regulated activity;
- Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Competencies
- A team player with great initiative, positive and ability to work under pressure;
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Education/Work Experience
- University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines, or Diploma in insurance or related disciplines;
- Fulfilment of the fit and proper criteria of the Insurance Authority for licensing as an individual insurance agent of the Company, and the minimum education and qualifications requirements, including but not limited to passes in IIQE Paper 1 & 2 [subject to the regulated activities to be conducted];
- Qualified IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or other related professional insurance qualifications an advantage;
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry.
