We're on the lookout for an experienced and driven Major Events Lead to join our Marketing team. This is a chance to make a real impact by designing and delivering a portfolio of events that align with our ambitious expansion plans in the events and conference space.

What You’ll Be Doing: In this role, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing our brand's reputation for delivering top-tier, high-quality events. You'll play a key part in driving revenue and supporting our overall business strategy, while having the opportunity to work on both new and exciting projects as well as established ones – current projects include the management of the bi-annual event ‘Resources Technology Showcase (RTS)’ which takes place in August this year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a major events calendar, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify new opportunities.
• Secure valuable partners and revenue streams to ensure the success of each event.
• Design and create compelling event themes, ensuring every detail reflects our brand’s excellence.
• Oversee end-to-end project management to ensure smooth delivery of each event.
• Engage and build relationships with partners to drive revenue growth.
• Manage contractors to ensure flawless event execution.
• Handle event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining high standards.
• Leverage the SWM platform to maximise engagement, boost sales, and drive attendance.
• Deliver events to the highest SWM standards while staying within budget constraints.

What You’ll Bring:

• Significant experience in managing and delivering high-profile business events and/or conferences.
• Proven track record of planning and executing large-scale events to an exceptional standard, with an eye for detail.
• A commercial mindset with strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with partners and achieve ambitious revenue goals.
• Passion for flawless event execution, with the flexibility and enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Ability to collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Editorial, Marketing) to ensure seamless, on-brand event experiences.
