  • The Role

    The ABC People & Culture team is seeking an experienced HR Adviser to provide HR solutions and services that deliver business outcomes, improve performance, build capability and support a safe, positive workplace culture based on shared values and common goals. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture Business Partnering and working with a happy, dedicated team your business clients will be the ABC News Division

    The Job

    • Provide HR support in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, learning & development, and organisational effectiveness.
    • Support change initiatives by collaborating with teams to ensure optimal experience for employees
    • Guide managers on HR policies, legal compliance, and workplace issue resolution.
    • Support the resolution of workplace issues & grievances, work with the HR Business Partner
    • Deliver accurate reporting and data to support business decisions
    • Build relationships with managers to understand business needs and ensure effective communication across the organisation.

    About You

    We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic HR Adviser who has great personal drive, HR knowledge and outstanding interpersonal skills. You will be adept at building great rapport and trusted relationships across the organisation at all levels and you will be collaborative and customer-centric in your approach. Ideally you will possess experience in a large organisation and an understanding of enterprise agreements and their application.

    You'll have: 

    • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent HR experience.
    • Broad HR experience with knowledge of policies, enterprise agreements, and legislation.
    • Proven project management skills; able to meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Experience in facilitation, training, coaching, and conflict management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; strategic thinker.
