Head of Marketing
Position Summary
Lead the Marketing function for a medical device business in Japan, with responsibility for the strategic and commercial management of a portfolio of urology and adjacent products. Drive product strategy, market development, and commercialization by partnering closely with global teams, local sales, distributors, and key external stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Country President.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the overall marketing strategy and execution for the Japan business.
Drive product lifecycle management, including portfolio planning, pricing, positioning, launch, and promotional strategies across capital equipment and consumables.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders.
Collaborate with global teams to communicate local market insights, customer requirements, and product feedback.
Partner with Sales to develop effective commercial tools, training programs, and customer-facing materials.
Support product launches, commercial initiatives, and business development activities.
Plan and oversee participation in scientific congresses, exhibitions, and other industry events.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree or above.
Experience
5+ years of people management experience within marketing or product management.
Proven experience in product marketing, portfolio management, market analysis, and commercial strategy.
Experience in the medical device industry, particularly with consumables and capital equipment.
Urology experience is preferred, with exposure to endourology products considered an advantage.
Familiarity with products used in the operating room (OR) environment is desirable.
