As Group Digital Director in our Adelaide team, you will play a crucial senior leadership role in shaping and elevating performance media and innovation. You’ll step into a market‑defining position: influencing agency strategy, strengthening client relationships and overseeing the performance and growth of digital practitioners across teams. This role is ideal for a seasoned digital leader who thrives in complexity, inspires teams, and blends commercial acumen with deep expertise across digital media, technology, data, and transformation.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategic direction of the agency’s digital offering, ensuring teams and clients benefit from the latest innovation, technology, and marketplace shifts. Act as the “go‑to” digital thought leader for the business
  • Oversee digital strategy for top‑tier clients, providing senior consultancy, solving high‑value challenges, and ensuring digital excellence across the full portfolio. Support the MD and senior leaders in key account planning and long‑term growth roadmaps
  • Own the quality, consistency, and innovation of digital work across the agency. Maintain oversight of the work, and driving improved outputs, integration, and new opportunities for clients
  • Set the cultural and capability benchmark for the digital team. Mentor senior practitioners, identify training needs, oversee succession planning, and uplift performance
  • Drive organic growth, contribute to new business pitches, and collaborate across network stakeholders to unlock new digital revenue opportunities. Participate in the Dentsu Growth Squad and build the agency’s external profile through thought leadership and industry representation

 

A bit about you:

  • A comprehensive understanding of all facets of digital media—including biddable, non‑biddable, technology platforms, data solutions, brand safety, automation, and analytics—with the ability to shape holistic digital strategies.
  • Experience guiding senior client stakeholders, navigating complexity, and delivering digital transformation initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes
  • You’re an exceptional communicator capable of influencing internal teams, senior leaders, global contacts, and external partners. Comfortable presenting, negotiating, and representing the agency at industry level
  • Strong financial stewardship, forecasting capability, and ability to identify and convert new revenue streams—both organic and through broader network collaboration
  • You have a background in coaching high‑performing teams, setting cultural standards, identifying talent development opportunities, and elevating digital capability across multiple practice area
