The Role

ABC News is seeking an experienced and imaginative Graphic Designer to bring visual storytelling to life across our broadcast and digital platforms. If you're a creative thinker with a passion for news and design, this is your chance to be part of one of Australia’s most trusted newsrooms.

This role will see you:

  • Design, research, produce and edit high-quality broadcast and new media graphics and animation.
  • Design and execute original graphic designs and concepts.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members.
  • Monitor graphics equipment and report faults.

About You

You will have proven extensive graphic design and video editing experience preferably in the broadcast and digital media industry and highly advanced skills, comprehensive knowledge of graphics production techniques and software capabilities. 

Able to work confidently and independently, you will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Highly sophisticated graphic compositions and animations.
  • Ability to contribute creatively and aesthetically to the final product exercising good judgement.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Ability to work effectively within tight operational deadlines.
  • The capacity or willingness to learn to shoot/edit.
