Graphic Designer

About the Role

The role focuses on creating original, trend-aligned graphics for a wide range of categories for NRL supporter product, including sportswear, activewear, lifestyle apparel and accessories. Responsibilities include developing T-shirt prints, logos, placement and all-over graphics, as well as patches, trims, and embellishments. The designer will also produce digital mock-ups and visualisations to support seasonal presentations and sampling, ensuring all creative output matches the brand’s direction and market trends.

In addition, the position supports product development by preparing production-ready artwork with accurate colour separations, vector files, sizing, and placement guides. The role involves close collaboration with the lead graphic designer and senior developers to meet printing, embroidery, and manufacturing requirements. The designer may also contribute to broader brand assets, including lookbooks, tech packs, packaging, retail graphics, and digital marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apparel Graphic Design
  • Develop original graphics for sportswear, activewear, and lifestyle apparel across men’s, women’s, and unisex ranges.
  • Working from Trend documents provided to ensure graphics align with the required design direction for both seasonal and capsule ranges.
  • Design T-shirt prints, logo-based graphics, Fleece embroiders and appliques, placement prints, all-over prints, patches, trims, and embellishments.
  • Produce digital mock-ups and visualisations for presentations and sampling.
  • Product Development & Production Support
  • Translate concepts into production-ready files, including colour separations, vector artwork, sizing, and placement guides.
  • Work with production teams to ensure artwork meets printing, embroidery, sublimation, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Liaise with Senior product developers and lead graphic designer to resolve technical questions and ensure accurate output.
  • Branding & Creative Direction
  • Support creation of lookbooks, tech packs, packaging artwork, retail graphics, and digital marketing assets as needed.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer in apparel, sportswear, streetwear, or fashion retail.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing T-shirt graphics, logo creation, garment prints, and apparel branding.
  • Proficiency in the full Adobe CS
  • Understanding of apparel printing techniques (screen printing, DTG, sublimation, embroidery, vinyl, etc.).
  • Ability to prepare print-ready artwork with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of typography, composition, colour, and brand identity.

Desirable

  • Experience working with apparel manufacturers or offshore production teams.
  • Illustration skills (hand-drawn or digital).
  • Experience in sports or fitness-related brands.
  • Willingness to explore new technology (AI tools and similar)
