Executive Producer

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead Mamamia Out Loud - Australia's #1 women's podcast and our flagship podcast that shapes the national conversation amongst women each week. As Executive Producer of Mamamia Out Loud, you'll be at the helm of one of the country's most influential and beloved podcasts, guiding its content direction and production excellence while also overseeing additional shows in our network.
Mamamia Out Loud has built a dedicated community of listeners who turn to us for smart, authentic perspectives on the news, culture, and issues that matter to women. Your creative vision, production expertise, and editorial leadership will ensure the show continues to lead, innovate, and grow its already substantial audience while maintaining the distinctive voice and quality our listeners expect.
This is an inital 12 month contract.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
- Lead the end-to-end production of Mamamia Out Loud, our crown jewel podcast that reaches hundreds of thousands of Australian women weekly
- Develop compelling content strategies for Out Loud that drive listener growth, engagement, and loyalty
- Conduct thorough research and craft narrative-driven briefs that bring out the best in our Out Loud hosts
- Oversee recording sessions, ensuring premium audio quality and content that aligns with Out Loud's established voice and values
- Track performance metrics for Out Loud and implement targeted strategies to expand its already substantial audience
- Support the development of new show concepts that complement and expand on Out Loud's success
- Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to Out Loud hosts and guests
- Collaborate across teams to maximize cross-promotional opportunities for our flagship podcast
Now, a bit about you
- You have at least 5 years of experience in podcast, TV, or radio production
- You've built a track record of producing high-quality audio content that connects with audiences
- You possess strong editorial judgment and have successfully implemented audience growth strategies
- Your communication skills are excellent, both written and verbal
- You're proficient with audio editing software (Adobe Audition preferred)
- You thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments where no two days are the same
- You're a team player who can prioritize audience needs while balancing commercial considerations
