The Team: We are seeking a dynamic and execution-focused Director of Field Marketing & Events, APAC to play a pivotal role in the launch and market establishment of our new brand across the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Tokyo or Seoul, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new company's go-to-market journey — building brand awareness from the ground up and making a lasting impact across four high-growth markets: Japan, South Korea, China, and India. Events and field marketing will be the primary engine behind our brand launch strategy in APAC. This role is central to creating powerful first impressions, generating early pipeline, and building the market credibility our new brand needs to succeed. You will work in close partnership with regional sales teams and external PR and agency partners to deliver measurable business outcomes and establish a strong brand presence across the region. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves being on the ground at events, and knows how to orchestrate complex multi-market programs with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Events Management (Primary Focus)
- Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of all regional events across Japan, South Korea, China, and India — including trade shows, conferences, roadshows, roundtables, and hosted customer events — with a specific focus on establishing and elevating our new brand in each market
- Lead the events strategy for the new brand go-to-market launch, identifying the right platforms, audiences, and moments to introduce the brand with maximum impact
- Manage all on-site event logistics including venue selection, vendor management, booth setup, staffing, and post-event reporting
- Travel regularly across all four markets to personally oversee and man events, ensuring flawless execution and strong brand representation on the ground
- Build and maintain a regional events calendar aligned with the brand launch roadmap and sales pipeline goals
- PR & Agency Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison with the PR agency in Tokyo, managing the relationship, briefings, campaign alignment, and performance reviews
- Partner closely with communications teams and agency partners to build early brand awareness, generate earned media, and shape the narrative around our new brand's entry into APAC markets
- Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
- Develop and execute digital marketing programs — including email campaigns, social media, paid media, and content distribution — to build brand awareness, support event promotion, and generate pipeline across APAC markets
- Drive lead generation initiatives tied to the brand launch in close collaboration with sales teams, ensuring marketing-qualified leads are delivered with proper follow-up and tracking
- Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics, continuously optimizing for brand reach, conversion, and ROI
- Sales Alignment & Coordination
- Partner closely with regional and country-level sales teams to align event and marketing activities with go-to-market launch milestones, pipeline goals, and revenue targets
- Coordinate pre- and post-event sales outreach, ensuring seamless lead handoff and follow-through
- Develop and manage the production of promotional materials, sales collateral, and event assets that bring the new brand to life consistently across all four markets
What We are looking for:
- Required 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on field marketing and event management in the APAC region
- Demonstrated track record of planning and executing large-scale events across multiple markets simultaneously
- Experience supporting or leading a brand or product launch in one or more APAC markets is highly desirable
- Experience working with or managing PR agencies, preferably in Japan or broader APAC
- Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and lead generation best practices
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively alongside sales teams in a matrixed organization
- Business proficiency in English (written and spoken); ability to communicate across multicultural environments
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Japan, South Korea, China, and India
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Tokyo or Seoul
- Preferred Proficiency in Japanese or Korean (additional regional languages a plus)
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, webinar platforms)
- Familiarity with enterprise B2B marketing environments
- Prior experience managing marketing budgets across multiple markets and currencies
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a comfort level working in a launch-stage or startup-like environment
Travel Required: Frequent travel across Japan, South Korea, China, and India
