About the Role
As Director of Brand, Marketing and Purpose, you will lead the development and delivery of a distinctive, purpose-led strategy that drives sustainable growth and deepens member engagement. You’ll be accountable for shaping a compelling, consistent brand experience across all channels—supporting strong commercial outcomes across savings, mortgages, and financial advice. This is a highly strategic leadership role where you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and maximise the impact of brand, marketing, and corporate affairs. You’ll define and embed a clear purpose—bringing it to life through campaigns, customer experience, and community activity—ensuring it is visible in every interaction. You will lead end-to-end marketing and CRM strategy, overseeing customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, while building strong cross-functional collaboration across the organisation. From driving innovation and digital capability through to managing external reputation and strategic partnerships, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering measurable commercial success alongside meaningful community impact.

You combine strategic thinking with disciplined execution, bringing clarity of vision while ensuring delivery against ambitious commercial and purpose-led goals. With deep experience in brand, marketing, and corporate affairs, you are equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy as you are driving day-to-day performance. You make sound, data-informed decisions and balance commercial outcomes with ethical, member-first thinking. You bring strong stakeholder leadership, with the ability to influence at senior level, align diverse teams, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Your understanding of governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks ensures everything you deliver is both effective and compliant. Above all, you are passionate about purpose and motivated to create meaningful impact for members and communities, while building a trusted, differentiated brand that stands for something bigger.
