The Role

Are you a passionate storyteller with a deep connection to Indigenous culture? Do you thrive in a dynamic and creative environment? The ABC is seeking a passionate and innovative Digital Producer to join our Indigenous Team in Sydney on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and producing digital content that amplifies Indigenous voices and stories across ABC’s platforms.

The Job

You will play a pivotal role in amplifying Indigenous voices and perspectives across our digital platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and produce compelling digital content that celebrates and explores the rich tapestry of Indigenous experiences, traditions, and issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and generate specialist, complex narrative content and story ideas.
  • Direct the editing of complex packages and sequences.
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the ABC Indigenous gateway and social media accounts.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures, protocols, and perspectives. Excellent storytelling skills, combined with strong digital production experience and a passion for creating impactful content, are essential. Effective communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities are also crucial.

You'll also have experience in devising, writing and editing high quality content, and selecting and editing engaging audio, video and images, with advanced editorial skills.
