Digital Media Specialist

SCOPE

The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all external
advertising planning, scheduling, assets, and analytics tracking. They will also
coordinate social media content planning, creation, and tracking.

The Digital Media Specialist will work closely with the marketing team, brand
managers, and advertising partners to ensure that all campaigns, content, and
projects are consistent with the company’s brand guidelines and marketing
objectives.

This role requires an outgoing, enthusiastic, and ambitious team member who
takes initiative, is passionate about marketing, wants to be creative, and
contribute to marketing strategy. This position is primarily focused on content
creation, planning, and coordination.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple brands and
    platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external media partners to plan and
    execute advertising campaigns.
  • Create and manage content for social media channels, collaborating with
    available marketing resources.
  • Analyze data and report on the performance of advertising campaigns and
    social media platforms, utilizing Google Analytics and other social media
    analytics tools.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, advertising technologies, industry
    advertising channels and opportunities, and best practices.
  • Ensure that all advertising and social media content is consistent with the
    company’s brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Manage advertising and social media budgets to ensure effective use of
    resources.
  • Apply SEO strategies to increase the reach of marketing campaigns.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related major (i.e. Journalism, English,
    Communications, etc.).
  • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in similar role(s) with social media and
    advertising coordination. Agency experience a plus.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Google Analytics, and
    social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Hootsuite, SEMRush).
  • HTML coding experience preferred.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (writing samples may be
    requested).
