Digital Manager

The Digital Manager will lead the development and implementation of the digital delivery strategy for the PDMC team, ensuring seamless integration of BIM, information management systems, and digital workflows across a complex, multi-contract infrastructure programme. This role is critical in enabling data-driven project delivery, enhancing design coordination, improving traceability, and supporting decision-making in a highly interfaced and operationally sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy & Implementation
    Develop and implement the digital delivery strategy for the PDMC team across: BIM coordination environments, Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, Information flows and workflow systems, Dashboards and reporting tools. Ensure digital solutions are aligned with project delivery objectives, integration requirements, and client expectations.
  • Digital Enablement of Design & Integration
    Ensure that digital tools and data structures effectively support: Multidisciplinary design coordination, Review traceability and comment management, Interface management across contracts and systems, Programme and performance reporting. Promote digital workflows that enhance coordination quality and reduce rework in highly interfaced environments.
  • Systems Integration & Platform Coordination
    Oversee integration between key project platforms, including: BIM and federated model environments, PMIS and project controls systems, Document control and CDE platforms, Issue and workflow management systems, Reporting and dashboard tools. Ensure seamless data flow and alignment across all digital systems supporting the PDMC scope.
  • Data-Driven Performance & Reporting
    Support project leadership in developing data-driven performance monitoring and analytics, including: Progress tracking and submission performance, Design review turnaround and closure metrics, Interface and coordination issue tracking. Enable the development of dashboards and reporting frameworks to support management decision-making.
  • Digital Workflow Optimisation
    Drive adoption of digital workflows to: Improve design review efficiency and turnaround times, Enhance coordination across multidisciplinary teams, Strengthen information quality, consistency, and traceability, Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and integration.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    Coordinate closely with BIM Manager, PMIS Manager, Project Controls, Requirements and Package teams to ensure: Digital processes are integrated and aligned with delivery workflows, Data requirements are clearly defined and structured, Systems support design integration, requirements traceability, and interface management.
  • Digital Governance & Data Management
    Maintain oversight of digital governance across all PDMC systems, including: Access controls and user permissions, Metadata standards and naming conventions, Data quality, consistency, and integrity. Ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements on information management.

Key Requirements

  • Qualifications & Experience
    Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Digital Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 12–15 years’ experience in digital delivery for large-scale infrastructure or major development projects. Proven experience implementing BIM, CDE, and integrated digital systems in complex, multi-contract environments. Experience supporting projects with high levels of integration, coordination, and regulatory oversight preferred.
  • Technical Competencies
    Strong experience with BIM coordination, federated models, and digital collaboration platforms. Familiarity with PMIS, document control, and issue management systems. Experience in data structuring, dashboard development, and performance analytics. Understanding of digital workflows supporting multidisciplinary coordination and system integration.
  • Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
    Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills. Highly structured and detail-oriented with strong focus on governance and data integrity. Proactive mindset in driving digital transformation and continuous improvement. Ability to translate technical and data insights into actionable project outcomes.
