Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager to guide the next phase of our technology journey.

This is a key leadership position responsible for shaping, operating, and continuously enhancing the core digital platforms that support our business and the communities we serve.

About the role:

As the Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager, you will lead the design, management and evolution of Northpower’s digital backbone delivering performance and reliability. You’ll work closely with a skilled team of engineers, managed service providers, and technology partners to deliver secure, scalable, and modern infrastructure services.
This role blends technical leadership, operational excellence and architectural knowledge, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑evolving environment and is motivated to drive meaningful transformation.

Key responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing engineering team and manage relationships with key partners.
• Platform Ownership: Oversee cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and network environments with strong security and resilience.
• Architecture and Planning: Develop and execute Northpower’s digital infrastructure roadmap to support organisational growth.
• Operational Excellence: Serve as the escalation point during critical incidents and ensure efficient, transparent resolution.
• Innovation and Improvement: Identify emerging technologies and implement enhancements that elevate service capability and reduce cost.
• Vendor Management: Strengthen supplier relationships and ensure maximum value from contracts and commercial agreements.

Some travel and after-hours work may be required as part of this role.

About you:

• You are a seasoned digital infrastructure leader with a balanced mix of strategic insight and hands‑on technical capability. You bring:
• 10+ years in IT infrastructure, including 5+ years in leadership
• Proven experience designing, delivering, and managing complex infrastructure platforms
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, infrastructure‑as‑code, enterprise technologies and cybersecurity
• Proven experience with disaster recovery, and infrastructure architecture
• Strong commercial and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with ITIL and service delivery frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
