Deputy General Manager - Operations Information & Communications Technology (Ref. No.: 260000NA)
Responsibilities
Formulate strategies and implementation roadmap to accelerate delivery and support of digital transformation for the responsible business unit
Identify and lead technology adoption across relevant disciplines, and develop business cases to improve service reliability, performance and productivity
Oversee and manage Operations Information & Communications Technology (ICT) projects across all disciplines by engaging key stakeholders and capturing engineering requirements to ensure that quality solutions are delivered to agreed scope and user’s requirements
Foster strong collaborations with academia and technology partners to accelerate multi-disciplinary innovations in the responsible business unit
Formulate data strategy and strengthen cloud capabilities as well as data analytics capabilities to support Smart Operations and Smart Maintenance
Monitor emerging technologies and analyse industry trends to recommend fit-for-purpose ICT, data, cybersecurity and smart railway solutions
Oversee cybersecurity team to handle compliance issues for critical infrastructure in operations under the related cybersecurity regulations
Develop talent with the capabilities required for ICT, data analytics, systems integration and smart railway innovation
Requirements
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Communications / Computer / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, preferably with postgraduate qualification in Business or Engineering
A minimum of 20 years of railway experience, of which at least 10 years’ managerial experience
Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution
Strong analytical, project management and leadership skills with experience in managing a multi-discipline team
Strong ties with industry players and government officials in railway sector
