About the Role

As lead of Creator Marketing, you will be responsible for helping grow and integrate the creator business at Edelman while managing, mentoring and expanding a high-growth team. This position requires strong client relationship expertise and the ability to understand marketing objectives, turning them into compelling work. Your role is cross-functional, as you will be required to integrate the creator marketing team into other internal groups within Edelman, such as Digital, Creative, Planning, EXI (Data & Measurement) and Account. You will oversee a team of creator marketing professionals and help drive the vision and goals for the team / account.

Key Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience leading a mix of content strategy, social strategy and creator programing across multiple channels, within a media buying, advertising, communications, marketing or public relations environment.
  • Proven record in developing creator relationships, strategizing, developing brand content and evergreen campaigns to track ROI and negotiations.
  • Proven thought leadership in creator marketing.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing across all social platforms and marketing channels, including creator partnerships across various tiers of talent, branded video content, digital media, and the talent management space.
  • Proven experience in team leadership by directly managing or mentoring staff and supporting overall staff needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency background with a thorough understanding of how to design and execute successful measurable creator campaigns, as well as a deep knowledge of how digital / social media fits in the communications mix.
  • Experience working across a wide variety of brand sectors.
  • Clearly understand ROI and measurement tools surrounding creators (both to identify and evaluate).
  • Understand the path to purchase through creator campaign, and techniques to track and assess performance.
  • Must be passionate, driven, and emotionally intelligent.
  • A track record in planning and delivering campaigns with creators.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and a passion for the Creator universe on all social channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and handle a number of concurrent projects and tasks.
  • New business expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Lead to develop innovative creator marketing campaigns with creators, as well as oversee and activate creator campaigns, paid media and distribution strategies.
  • Manage, identify and nurture new client relationships at the highest level, and ensure that team is implementing programs to the highest standard possible.
  • Proven client counsel and advise different clients on the best creator strategy based on metrics and a sound business case for their particular brand.
  • Plan and deliver creator campaigns including paid amplification strategy across all main platforms.
  • Identify, negotiate and manage creators and talent across multiple channels.
  • Help lead cross functional teams with integrated solutions for client campaigns (taking them from concept through to delivery).
  • Keep abreast of emerging partners, innovations, talents, platforms, tools and provide recommendations.
  • Promote the value and importance of client feedback and review the team and develop a client-focused culture.
  • Manage post campaign evaluation, highlight strengths, and identify opportunities to improve future campaigns.
  • Maintain an understanding of our client's business and sectors to improve counsel to clients.
  • Monitor and understand client markets and brands; be aware of market issues and competitive activity.
  • Lead team briefings to share information to keep teams informed and engaged.
  • Use team meetings as an opportunity to share knowledge.
  • Plan and prioritize work with team to ensure completion according to client requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain involvement in team / management / group initiatives to drive company / team vision.
  • Delegate projects and activities to stretch performance and capability.
  • Partner with resource management to ensure accounts are staffed appropriately.
