WPP Beauty Tech Labsis a bespoke and dedicated influencer marketing agency for L’Oréal Australia and New Zealand. This team includes experts from GroupM – Goat, Wavemaker, and Ogilvy PR – bringing together the best of influencer marketing under one roof.
We represent all 32 of L’Oréal’s iconic brands, including CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, L’Oréal Paris, Kiehl’s, YSL, Lancôme, NYX, Maybelline, Redken, and many more across AUNZ. Our partnership officially started on January 1, 2025

This Role 
As Creative Content Director, you are the driving force behind the conception and execution of transformative ideas and content that resonate across media landscapes, social, video and entertainment platforms, and collaborative partnerships. These ideas should jump platforms and be able to live anywhere – digital, physical and experiential.
Your strategic creativity ensures that our clients' brands not only achieve cultural and platform relevance but also experience substantial growth. You are the catalyst for innovation, propelling brand narratives that captivate audiences and drive engagement in an ever-evolving digital ecosystem.
 
The Creative Content Director will bring a mix of creative, digital and social expertise to the role, promoting our company and those of our valued clients. We’re looking for a team player that can collaborate well with diversified skillsets, someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we continue to grow.
 
The ideal candidate will have a love for social media, influencer and creator marketing as well as social and content strategy. They will have a content background and be a prolific generator of dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
 
This role will report into: 
GroupM Goat’s Head of Creative Strategy (direct) and Chief Content & Partnerships Officer for WPP Beauty Tech Labs (dotted).
 
What You’ll Do:

 

  • Working closely with the GroupM Goat and WPP Beauty Tech Labs teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional results for our clients, while fostering a culture that champions innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Drive big ideas that will grow clients business’ and help us win more client projects (driving new business will be a key part if the role)
  • Clearly articulate and deliver our growth and demand strategy for GroupM’s influencer offering, tapping into our portfolio of media clients to unlock scope expansion into creator and influencer marketing. Deliver on annual growth targets in partnership with the broader team
  • Identify new and/or diversified revenue streams, including working with GroupM agencies and external partners outside the group (if relevant)
  • Lead and review the creative work for the agency especially in social, content and digital media and marketing
  • Drive creative work and awards (especially in the social space)
  • Ability to capture creative thinking that is ready to take to clients – Document and presentation writing; storytelling; concepting; assisting in STB/mock up’s
  • Be at the forefront of technology knowing the nuisances of social , video and entertainment media platforms, CX and UX insights, formats and creative impact
  • Play an influential role in developing GroupM Goat’s social and influencer product bringing together paid, owned and earned media
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing content design, copy, art, and digital technology
  • Collaborate well with diversified skillsets - Content & Partnerships, Strategy, Product, Client and Growth departments etc. to create creative strategies and content ideas
  • Analyse ongoing cultural and social trends, not being afraid to utilise tools (proprietary & platform – TikTok, Meta...) as required
  • Take a leadership role in bringing culture and trends to our clients – How do we bring local and global insights into the agencies to drive better work.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, with five or more years in creative, content marketing and/or social
  • Experience in creating social/content marketing and advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
  • Experience and understanding in creating integrated social and content campaigns across all touchpoints: digital + social media, paid, owned, earned and shared media channels as well as offline
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing creative led campaigns that drive engagement, brand awareness, and business growth
  • Proven ability to develop successful concepts and ideas (a robust portfolio)
