Commercial Product Manager - Content
About the role
The Commercial Product Manager – Content is responsible for the management,
positioning, and ongoing development of Are Media’s commercial content product
suite, including; vodcasts, social, commercial content, video, talent, and eDM
products.
This role ensures all products are market-ready, commercially competitive,
operationally viable, and clearly positioned for market. Acting as the
connection point between product, sales, strategy, and delivery teams, the role
is responsible for simplifying complex commercial products into clear,
compelling solutions that are easy for sales teams to understand, position, and
sell.
A key focus of the role is sales enablement—equipping the commercial team with
the tools, training, collateral, and support required to confidently respond to
briefs and proactively engage clients. The role also plays a critical part in
identifying product gaps and opportunities, sourcing new suppliers and
capabilities, and feeding market insights and performance learnings back into
the broader commercial strategy function.
Duties
- Lead sales enablement for the commercial content product suite, ensuring the
sales team is equipped with clear product knowledge, positioning, and selling
frameworks - Manage the end-to-end commercial content product suite including vodcasts,
social, commercial content, video and influencer - Ensure all products are commercially competitive, operationally scalable, and
aligned to market demand and client needs - Develop and manage the commercial content product suite across Are Media's
portfolio, ensuring offerings are competitive, clearly packaged, and
revenue-generating - Partner with the Sales, Editorial, and Studio teams to bring branded content
solutions from brief to market - Analyse product performance data to identify gaps, refine positioning, and
inform go-to-market strategy - Support the sales team with compelling product narratives, rate card
management, and category-specific solutions
Skills and experience
- Commercial Product Management: Experience managing and evolving content-led
commercial products end-to-end (e.g. video, social, branded content, talent) - Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to translate market trends and
client needs into revenue-generating product strategies - Sales Enablement: Skilled in simplifying complex products, developing sales
materials, and supporting responses to briefs - Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate across sales,
editorial, strategy, and operations to deliver outcomes - Data & Insights: Ability to analyse performance and market feedback to
optimise products and drive growth - Media Industry Knowledge: Understanding of print, digital, and content
ecosystems, including branded content and advertising models - Financial Acumen: Understanding of pricing, revenue drivers, and commercial
viability - Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities - Communication & Influence: Clear communicator with strong presentation and
stakeholder influencing skills - Operational & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of delivery workflows,
risk, and safe work practices
