Campaign Manager

Work that Matters

CommBank is one of Australia's leading providers of integrated financial services, with more than 52,000 people globally. We're proud of our iconic brand, our scale, and the impact we make in the lives of millions of Australians every day.

CBAGENCY is CommBank's in-house creative agency — and we operate with a start-up mentality inside one of the country's largest and most valuable brands. We move fast, we think differently, and we're building something genuinely special.

Marketing & Corporate Affairs drives positive reputation, brand consideration, and customer engagement across the Commonwealth Bank. Our remit spans end-to-end marketing, branding, stakeholder insights, government relations, communications, and corporate social responsibility.

This role sits at the front door of the agency. You are the central point of contact for engaging CBAGENCY — providing visibility, organisation, and energy so the team can consistently produce world-class work. With the support of a talented in-house team, you'll map out incoming briefs, ensure those delivering the work have everything they need, and champion a culture of creative excellence.

You'll deliver best-in-class work with an inspired team that rivals the external agency network in quality — and partners alongside it to create even greater value.

The Candidate

You're currently thriving in a high-performing agency, production studio, or creative environment — and you're hungry for what's next. You're a restless creative thinker who lives at the intersection of strategy, craft, and culture. You don't just follow trends — you spot them early, stress-test them, and figure out how to make them work for an iconic brand.

You're obsessively organised and detail-driven, with an instinctive understanding of end-to-end content creation — from brief to delivery and everything in between. You're a genuine people person — you build trust effortlessly with stakeholders. You're passionate about understanding our customers deeply, and you use those insights to inspire confidence in the agency's ability to deliver exceptional work.

You bring the best out in people. You back the talent around you, clear the path, and let great work happen. You see the extraordinary potential of working on Australia's most valuable brand — and you want to help build the best in-house agency team in the country.

You have a proven track record of finding solutions, providing clarity in complexity, and collaborating with purpose. You care deeply about quality. Your keen eye for detail and genuine passion for process improvement elevates every project the agency touches. You're collaborative, generous with knowledge, and always looking to raise the bar — for yourself and the wider team.

You stay plugged into the external landscape — emerging platforms, best-in-class production techniques, new creative technologies — and you bring that thinking back to the team. You energise. You create. You inspire.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Be a critical, high-energy member of the broader Brand, Content & Experience team, championing innovation and creative ambition across every project.
  • Lead the planning, visibility, and organisation of incoming work — comprising digital, social, print, video, and emerging formats.
  • Partner with clients across brand, retail marketing, business marketing, and other internal functions to manage projects.
  • Oversee the agency’s email inbox to evaluate briefs, liaise with stakeholders and traffic the projects.
  • Uphold and evolve CommBank's brand guidelines — helping to govern the assets that make our brand the most valuable in Australia (Kantar & Brand Finance 2022; KANTAR Top 100 Most Valuable Brands Globally 2024).
  • Drive a culture of curiosity — constantly scanning the horizon for emerging trends, new tools, and innovative approaches that keep CBAGENCY ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate with our playground of connected partners and agencies to realise the full potential of the CommBank brand.

Requirements

Mindset first. Our Campaign Manager, Front of House, must have a burning desire to collaborate, create, and push boundaries. You bring a can-do attitude to everything — no challenge is too big, no detail too small.
