Team Summary
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific (AUNZPI) is Visa's advisory division, working with Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy, operational optimisation, customer engagement and overall business profitability. VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory, Data Science and Implementation Services, the latter being the execution arm of VCA. Our Implementation Services teams are embedded with client teams, delivering value primarily through implementation and execution services. We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team, sharing knowledge, and bringing the best of Visa to the client.

We are looking for two Campaign Analysts to embed within our clients based in Auckland. Both roles are offered as a fixed-term contract for up to 24 months.

Role Summary

As a Campaign Analyst, you will build, design and optimise the data-driven customer communication strategies across card portfolios ensuring accuracy, relevance, timeliness and effectiveness. You will apply analytical and technical capabilities to develop customer insights, behavioural triggers, and measurement frameworks that enable personalised, scalable and compliant communications across channels. Working within an agile squad you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to translate business and marketing requirements into technical solutions, while providing insight-led recommendations to improve campaign performance, customer engagement and overall portfolio outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and execute data-driven customer communications using SQL/SAS and similar tools.
  • Translate marketing and product requirements into technical campaign builds, segmentation logic and data structures.
  • Consistently apply processes and quality assurance checks to ensure standardisation, data integrity and high accuracy of conversation outputs.
  • Conduct pre and post campaign analysis, identifying performance drivers, troubleshooting and recommending optimisation opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain analytical assets including dashboards, reporting frameworks and models to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Identify the key drivers of campaign performance, engagement and conversion, and surface optimisation opportunities for messaging, channel mix, targeting and sequencing.
  • Embed data-driven decision making.
  • Support team capability uplift through knowledge sharing and contribute to a positive team culture.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong experience in SQL/SAS for data analysis, campaign development and data manipulation.
  • Proven ability to analyse large data sets, develop insights and build analytical models.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a structured problem-solving approach and commitment to high quality outputs.
  • Experience in data-driven marketing, CRM, or customer analytics, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to influence across teams.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to effectively communicate insights clearly and effectively.

The role will ideally be based in Auckland CBD in a hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days in office per week).
