- Full time contract role from April to June 2025, then 4 days/week from July-December.
- Base salary $88K to $105K paid on a pro rata basis
The Role
Are you a history buff? Do you watch YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram more than TV? Are you a strong writer, capable of telling enthralling tales of the past in a fresh, modern style? Well, do we have the job for you! The ABC is looking for an Audiovisual Digital Producer to help us make a brand-new pod/vodcast series. In this role, you'll pitch story ideas, research/write them, and assist with shooting/recording audiovisual content. You'll get your hands dirty with basic audio and video editing, and publish content on a variety of platforms.
The Job
- Research and write engaging episodes for a narrative history format.
- Collaborate with the Executive Producer to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Develop and create distinctive audiovisual content for the target audience.
- Assist with content creation, including shooting/recording and basic editing.
- Identify digital-first content opportunities and manage rights and documentation.
- Publish high-quality content on time, adhering to ABC style guides and policies.

About You
You'll have:
- Advanced writing, communication, and editorial judgment with strong attention to detail.
- Experience and technical skills in audiovisual digital production with creativity and expertise.
- Ability to create engaging digital content for diverse audiences and work collaboratively across teams.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in creative content development and online community building.
- Proficiency in social media trends, analytics, and tools, including content management systems and editing software.
