About the Role

As Associate Director, Digital Services (Global and Research), you will lead the
technology strategies, platforms and services that enable UOW's research
excellence and global growth ambitions. You will work closely with senior
leaders across Research, UOW Global Enterprises and UOW Pulse to ensure digital
capabilities support international operations, student engagement, innovation
and world-class research outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will play a key role in shaping
future-ready digital services, driving technology-enabled transformation, and
ensuring investments are aligned to strategic priorities. The role provides
leadership across research technologies, digital platforms, data capabilities,
AI enablement and service delivery, while building strong partnerships and
influencing outcomes across a complex stakeholder environment.

About the Team

Digital Services is the University's central technology and information
management function, delivering the platforms, infrastructure and digital
capabilities that support teaching, research and business operations. The Global
and Research portfolio partners with academic, research and commercial
stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that enhance research capability,
support global education delivery and enable innovation across the University.

Working across a diverse and evolving environment, the team collaborates closely
with researchers, research institutes, global operations, architecture,
cybersecurity and enterprise technology teams to deliver meaningful outcomes
that support the University's strategic objectives.

What You Will Bring

• Experience leading enterprise technology portfolios, strategies and roadmaps
  within large and complex organisations.
• A proven ability to translate organisational priorities into technology
  investments, services and measurable business outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building trusted
  relationships across executive, academic, research and commercial
  environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting research, innovation or data-intensive
  environments through modern digital capabilities and platforms.
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives and driving adoption of
  emerging technologies, including AI, analytics and cloud-based services.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, cybersecurity, privacy and
  compliance requirements.
• Experience managing strategic vendor relationships, commercial partnerships
  and technology investments.
• Proven leadership capability with a history of developing high-performing
  teams and fostering a culture of service excellence, innovation and
  continuous improvement.
• The ability to balance competing priorities, navigate complexity and
  influence outcomes across teams that may not report directly to you.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business,
  management or a related discipline, and/or an equivalent combination of
  education and senior leadership experience.
