About the Role

As Associate Director, Digital Services (Education, Provost & Faculties), you
will lead the technology strategy, roadmap and service portfolio that supports
the University's teaching, learning and academic quality functions. Partnering
closely with academic leaders, Faculties, the Office of the Provost and the
Centre for Learning & Teaching, you will ensure digital services and platforms
are aligned with institutional priorities and deliver exceptional outcomes for
staff and students.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will drive digital transformation
across the academic domain, overseeing key platforms that support the student
and academic lifecycle. You will play a critical role in shaping future-ready
services, championing innovation and AI adoption, and ensuring technology
investments deliver measurable value across the University.

About the Team

Digital Services is the University's central technology and information
management function, delivering the platforms, infrastructure and digital
capabilities that support teaching, research and business operations. The
Education, Provost & Faculties portfolio works in partnership with academic and
professional staff to deliver reliable, modern and innovative technology
solutions that enhance teaching, learning and academic excellence.

The team collaborates across the University to improve the staff and student
experience, modernise core education platforms and support the successful
delivery of the University's strategic ambitions.

What You will Bring

• Extensive experience leading technology strategies, roadmaps and service
  portfolios in large and complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted
  relationships and influence outcomes across diverse groups.
• Experience managing enterprise platforms such as learning management systems,
  curriculum management, assessment, timetabling or workflow solutions.
• A proven ability to translate business priorities into technology
  initiatives, service improvements and investment outcomes.
• Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives and adopting
  emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and analytics.
• Experience overseeing service delivery, vendor performance, governance, risk
  and compliance activities.
• Strong leadership capability, with a track record of developing
  high-performing teams and fostering a customer-focused culture.
• Commercial acumen, including vendor management, contract negotiation and
  value optimisation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability
  to align stakeholders around shared outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business,
  management or a related discipline, and/or an equivalent combination of
  education and leadership experience.
