Assistant Manager Sales & Marketing HKG

Task Responsibilities:

  • Perform and coordinate daily administrative, sales support, and pricing-related activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Regional Sales and Pricing Department.
  • Provide professional pre-sales and after-sales support to internal and external stakeholders across the region.
  • Maintain, update, and manage Contractual Rates and Price Agreement Rates within Cargolux’s rate management system (iCargo).
  • Ensure all pricing updates are processed accurately, consistently, transparently, and within the required deadlines, in accordance with Pricing policies and Head Office guidelines.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of pricing strategies, procedures, and data integrity within the rate database.
  • Assist the Department Head and direct superior with operational, administrative, and business-related activities as required.
  • Support the Department Head in supervising, coordinating, and guiding team members to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
  • Monitor and coordinate administrative processes and workflows within the department, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and objectives.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and report discrepancies, operational issues, or deviations from established procedures and standards.
  • Initiate and coordinate actions necessary to improve operational efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies, internal procedures, industry regulations, and external requirements.
  • Exercise sound judgment and take independent decisions within the scope of delegated authority, particularly when supervision is not immediately available.
  • Ensure assigned duties, objectives, and deliverables are completed within established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to junior team members within the department and across other stations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial, sales support, pricing or customer service role
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Advanced proficiency
  • Excellent Organizational Skills for managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and maintaining efficient filing systems (both physical and digital) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving for anticipating needs, identifying potential issues before they arise, and finding efficient solutions to administrative or logistical challenges.
  • Strong Interpersonal Communication, both verbal and written, for clear and concise interactions with colleagues, clients, and vendors, ensuring information is conveyed effectively and professionally.
  • Customer Service Orientation for providing helpful and professional support to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and issues promptly and courteously.

Working Conditions:

  • It is a full-time position based in Hong Kong.
  • Flexibility is needed with working hours and local holidays
  • This position demands a regular and full-time presence and requires also business trips, vacation and other absences are planned in a way that they do not conflict with service requirements.
