Assistant Communications Manager

Role Purpose

Dyson is seeking a dynamic Assistant Communications Manager to lead Product Communications across Greater China, with additional responsibility for Internal Communications. This role will position Dyson as the benchmark for engineering-led innovation, drive consumer preference, and strengthen employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Communications
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for new product launches (NPD).
  • Localize messaging to resonate with regional consumer priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tier-1 and tier-2 media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Secure impactful coverage that reinforces Dyson’s innovation leadership and premium positioning.
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Support Greater China leadership in delivering clear, engaging internal communications.
  • Develop content and campaigns that strengthen employee understanding of Dyson’s vision, strategy, and values.
  • Manage internal communication channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls) to ensure timely and consistent updates.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to drive employee engagement and alignment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in communications, preferably within consumer technology, lifestyle, or innovation-driven industries.
  • Proven track record in product PR and media relations in Greater China.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in internal communications and employee engagement programs is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
