About the role

The Social Commerce and Digital Commerce Performance Lead, APAC is accountable for shaping, accelerating, and delivering Haleon APAC’s social commerce strategy and also the content factory deployment. This is leading priority commercial digital transformation content that enables scalable growth across diverse regional ecosystems. The development, build and deployment of the content factory is a critical element of the role and its therefore it will be key the candidate has strong experience of both strategic thinking in this space and practical deployment of a similar factory. The role acts as a support and strategic orchestrator with a focus on Wider Asia, leveraging learnings from the China lead markets. In a region undergoing rapid digital evolution—translating priorities into market relevant plans, governing regional platforms and customers, building scalable capabilities, and embedding data driven ways of working across APAC.

A day in the life

  • Social Commerce Hub Strategic Development
  • Design and develop aligned content hub solution (factories which are potentially end to end)
  • Manage the build and implementation/ integration of these factories across markets in APAC.
  • Create linkage with external agencies and partners to deliver a truly end to end solution.
  • Drive synergies and best practice by leveraging work from China hub which will lead capability development for Wider Asia.
  • Champion data‑led reporting, decision making, analytics, and performance transparency across digital channels.
  • Embed digital shelf execution, content quality, search, conversion, and ROI through the factory execution.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Medical, and Global Digital/Tech teams to deliver integrated plans.
  • Ensure alignment with Haleon’s enterprise data strategy and digital technology ecosystem.
  • Social Commerce Strategy and Evolution Wider APAC
  • Deploy the 5 C framework for social commerce bringing it to life every day.
  • Own the Wider Asia commercial digital transformation roadmap, including prioritised use content creation, live streaming and KOC/ KOL strategies.
  • Partner with Category and Market teams to embed transformation initiatives into day‑to‑day operations.
  • Lead or contribute to regional governance forums (e.g. Digital Transformation Council) with clear progress reporting to APAC leadership.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, Analytics, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years experience in e commerce, digital marketplaces, FMCG/consumer health, or platform led businesses.
  • Prior APAC regional role and matrix organisation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking and a proven leadership of regional digital transformation around content development and implementation.
  • Candidates should possess a practical understanding of what is required to create a content hub at all stages.
  • Deep expertise in APAC digital commerce ecosystems, including social commerce, marketplaces, and omnichannel.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Advanced analytical capability; able to convert performance data into commercial action.
  • High learning agility and comfort operating in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influence without authority.
