What you'll be up to:
This role is located in our South Melbourne Office reporting to the Group Business Director. The Account Manager is responsible for maximising revenue from new and existing clients while ensuring high client satisfaction. Build and manage long-term client relationships, achieve sales targets, and grow QMS Media’s share of media revenue across its full product suite.
- Develop and manage quarterly business plans to achieve revenue targets
- Identify and grow new and profitable business opportunities
- Engage in clients’ strategic planning to strengthen partnerships
- Deliver product demos and manage proposals, contracts, and account plans
- Upsell additional services and campaigns to existing clients
- Support new business pitches and proposals
- Manage multiple accounts and campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Collaborate internally to deliver innovative outdoor media solutions
- Identify and address revenue gaps
- Present marketing materials professionally and confidently
- Present insights, PCRs, and recommendations based on campaign results
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Deliver high service levels to grow and retain revenue
- Lead end-to-end campaign planning and execution within budget and objectives
What we’re looking for:
- Preferred degree in business, media, communications, or other related fields
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, including media sales, out of home or agency
- Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve individual and team sales targets
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills
- Deep OOH industry knowledge with a solution-focused sales approach
- Excellent multitasking, project management, and attention to detail
- Ability to balance client needs with commercial objectives
- Confident presenter with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective networker with senior decision-makers
- Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve shared goals
- Actively listens, seeks feedback, and values diverse perspectives
- Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a proactive mindset
- Applies strong business acumen with an analytical approach
- Communicates confidently across diverse audiences
