Overview
Bastion’s innovative new business unit is seeking a Business/Account Director to drive and lead key client relationships across travel, drinks, insurance, professional services and healthcare. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge creative and strategic solutions that impact culture and fuel growth for our clients.
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial digital-first marketer—either agency-side or brand-side—who is ready to broaden their skillset and collaborate across a diverse range of sectors, audiences, and creative challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Serve as the day-to-day lead for client communications, ensuring seamless delivery of integrated campaigns across brand building, performance marketing, and e-commerce.
- Partner closely with the Managing Director to set the strategic vision, drive innovation, and exceed client expectations.
- Build and foster trusted client relationships, becoming a key strategic advisor and thought partner on digital, creative, and brand marketing initiatives.
Strategy, Creative & Campaign Development
- Collaborate with our in-house Creative and Strategy teams to develop compelling campaign narratives that align with client business objectives.
- Oversee creative ideation and execution for DTC, e-commerce, and online retail-focused projects, leveraging your deep understanding of performance marketing and brand-building.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital best practices to ensure forward-thinking strategies for our clients.
Media Collaboration, Alignment & Budget Oversight
- Work collaboratively with our media agency to align creative concepts with media strategies, ensuring effective placement and optimization across paid social, paid digital, and other relevant channels.
- Manage large digital budgets, optimizing spend and demonstrating ROI through data-driven insights and performance metrics.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with cross-functional teams: Creative, Strategy, Production, Social, and Technology to streamline project delivery and ensure a cohesive client experience.
- Champion internal processes that increase efficiency and elevate the overall quality of work delivered by the DBX unit.
Commercial & Business Growth
- Drive incremental revenue and identify new opportunities within existing client portfolios.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals, showcasing DBX’s unique capabilities in brand, social, growth, and experience.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of each client’s business, industry landscape, and competitive set to proactively recommend future initiatives.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior client lead role within a digital, social, or e-commerce agency; or a background as a digital marketer at a DTC or online retail brand seeking broader brand experience.
- Proven track record in managing large budgets and orchestrating holistic campaigns across paid social, paid digital, and broader marketing channels.
- Deep understanding of creative strategy for direct-to-consumer (DTC) and e-commerce, from brand-building tactics to high-conversion performance marketing approaches.
- Experience in fast-paced retail and/or online sectors, with the ability to develop creative and strategic solutions that deliver commercial results.
- Strong collaborative instincts, capable of partnering with media agencies to align creative execution with media planning for maximum impact.
- Ability to thrive in an innovative, agile environment, with a passion for leading and mentoring diverse teams to deliver best-in-class work.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and client management skills, with a knack for building strong, long-lasting partnerships.
