12 months Contract - Market Data Support (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a high calibre individual to join us as Market Data Support at a leading financial institution. The role shall be part of the global Software Solutions team within Markets Technology based in Singapore. The engineer shall work with team members based in both Singapore and Zurich.
Note: This is a 12 months contract role with an external agency payroll provider.
Key Features and Accountabilities
- Maintain Markets Technology Market Data Platform which includes feeds; distribution infrastructure; entitlement system; and market data API support
- Drive our automation effort by proposing and developing scripts
- Drive the onboarding of our application to common platforms (Observability Testing Framework, CI/CD platform…)
- Participate in the documentation effort
- Foster the engineering culture within your team
Business Management
- Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by Head of CoE Software Solutions.
- Actively participate and support the head of the team to regularly review and improve team practices to optimise efficiency and productivity
- Continuously drive and improve systems
Stakeholder Management
- Effective and progressive management of all stakeholders and users of applications supported by the team
- Solicit and discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates to key stakeholders through the various channels used by the team
- Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment across locations
Change Management
- Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within Markets
- Support change management and release rollout planning
- Provide dedicated post implementation support locally in Asia
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Professional and Technical
- 2-3 years relevant working experience in financial and/or technology background
- Have possess knowledge and experience in one or more of the below domains:
- Linux operating system administration
- Scripting skills (bash, Python etc.)
- Programming skills
- Experience with market data vendors (LSEG/Reuters, Bloomberg, Marketmap etc.) and their products and data
- Understanding of financial products
- Experience in front office and finance industry
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
