【Alexion Japan】Associate Director, HPP Marketing, Genetic and Metabolic Disorders Business Unit
Position Summary
The Associate Director, HPP Marketing, will be responsible for the all marketing activities of STRENSIQ brand in Japan working closely with HPP Brand Lead and other stakeholders. S/he will own the development and execution of strategy including disease awareness, patient diagnosis, branded communication, peer-to-peer programming, and non-personal promotion. This is a highly strategic role that requires seasoned commercial acumen, scientific curiosity, and growth mindset. The role also requires close collaboration with Sales, Thought Leader Liaison, Medical Affairs, and other internal functions.
Principal Responsibilities
- Serve as a product manager and align the organization behind brand vision
- Set the strategic direction for the brand and achieve its revenue targets
- Continuously cultivate deep market and customer insights to enhance the strategy
- Drive all aspects of marketing programs and tactics from design to execution
- Effectively communicate with field sales teams to implement programs and tactics
- Engage thought leaders for insights, speaking engagements, and other commercial initiatives
- Define and evaluate relevant leading and performance indicators for the brand
- Work on the long-term growth and development goals
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise of marketing biopharma brand(s) in Japan
- Prior launch experience is preferred, preferably in rare disease and/or specialty care
- Deep and well-rounded commercial experience in biopharma industry (e.g. sales, marketing, market research, new product planning)
- Demonstrated expertise developing sound brand strategies grounded in customer insights
- Executional and operational know-how on marketing programs
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Scientific acumen and comfort with clinically oriented dialogue
- Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
- Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
- Fluency in Japanese required; proficiency in English is preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MS)
