Benefits
Joining UM means you’ll have access to all of the benefits on offer to the staff of the IPG Mediabrands group. As well as the benefits below, we offer:
Internal Mobility: Mediabrands supports career progression. We continuously offer opportunities for you to explore career development across different agencies and geographies in our domestic and global network.
Period Policy: For those women or people whose symptoms become unmanageable while working, Mediabrands offers 6 days of paid leave, in addition to existing sick leave entitlements.
Birthday Leave: No one likes working on their birthday, that’s why you don’t have to. If your birthday falls on a workday, we don’t want to see you in the office or online, go enjoy yourself!
Orion Deals: We want our people (and their families) to have access to the best rewards in town, including discount movie tickets, Foxtel deals and 10-20% off retailers and more!
Leave+: Access to paid leave once you have exhausted your annual leave balance. It does not replace your annual leave days, it is an addition to it for when you really need it.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Whether its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), LGBTQ+, gender inclusion, or diversity in all its forms, we have committees, policies, and programs for everyone.
Flexible Work Arrangements
Flexibility is super important for all our people, that’s why we have a hybrid working model both in and out of the office. We also have 4pm Fridays!
Professional Development
Our internal and industry programs are designed to ensure your success at every stage.
Health & Wellness
Free counselling support services, personality quizzes, assistance in crisis, proactive wellbeing, anytime tips and a wellbeing learning product.
Diversity & Inclusion
We value unique backgrounds and experiences to encourage and celebrate diversity. A key aspect of our talent strategy is to co-create a more inclusive culture, where our people feel they belong and can work alongside others who share their values, by bringing in talent with different backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences. First Nations people, those identifying as LGBTQ+, people of all ages, people with disabilities, and people who are culturally and linguistically diverse are ALL encouraged to apply for our vacant positions. Our aim is to use the same strategies, tools and resources that we use to build our clients’ businesses to attract new people to our business, especially those from historically excluded groups, so that we create a workforce that truly reflects the community in which we live.
Charity
UM’s Impact Day launched in the U.S. in 2016 and expanded globally in 2018 to over 120 offices and 50 countries. The annual day of service demonstrates the agency’s commitment to its core values of community and care. In 2023, the cost of living crisis turned our focus to offering financial and physical support to Our Big Kitchen in Sydney, FareShare in Brisbane and OzHarvest in Melbourne and Canberra, to help Australians who are finding life tough move forward with dignity and confidence. Across Australia around 200 UM-ers worked alongside these worthwhile organisations to collect non-perishable products, and prepare and cook food for distribution.
