Culture
Our values are our cultural guardrails that ensure we employ staff who are not afraid to question the status quo. We’re divergent thinkers who get our hands dirty to make sure that client’s needs are serviced. It gives us a flatter structure and more senior staff than our competition.
SPEED doesn’t enter awards, preferring to invest the time and money saved in our own training approach called SPEED School. A mix of internal and external training modules and in 2024 alone we have already collaborated with training specialists – Tomorrow and We Grow. SPEED School has a dedicated graduate program, which has so far yielded 7 employees over the past 3 years.
Everyday culture at SPEED is led by our Head of People, Angie Singmin who manages our wellbeing program, staff wellness surveys, regular culture events and an annual company conference. We also have “Springsteen Day” – a day off for our employees to consider their mental health and what makes them happy.
At SPEED, staff churn is significantly below the average for our industry (and most other industries for that matter) at just 5%; the result of this is a significant improvement in the consistency of the service that our clients receive. The statistic we are most proud of is that no one has ever left SPEED to join another media agency. We think it says everything!
