Overview
Free TV Australia is governed by a Board of Directors drawn from its members. The Board is supported by a number of committees which formulate advice and recommendations in relation to policy and regulatory issues, finance, technology and innovation, diversity and inclusion and other areas affecting the industry.
Free TV Australia also works with a number of government and industry bodies, including overseas broadcast organisations such as the International Telecommunications Union and the European Broadcasting Union.
Our members create jobs, provide trusted local news, tell Australian stories, give Australians a voice and nurture Australian talent. Our members are the backbone of the local television production industry, spending more than $1.6 billion every year on local content.
