Regional media body, Boomtown, has announced the start date of its regional media education series for 2024 will be 10am AEDT on Thursday, February 29. The masterclass will be a free 90-minute industrywide webinar accessible nationwide, delving into regional media planning, sharing insights from successful campaigns.

Representing 9.6 million regional Australians, Boomtown has grown steadily amid the pandemic. With regional Australians now over a third of the population, the trend of migration to regional areas continues.

Since its 2020 inception, the Boomtown masterclass series has educated media professionals nationwide on regional media’s efficacy. The 2024 education series will include webinars, in-person training, and bespoke sessions.

Boomtown chairman Brian Gallagher said, “We are excited to kick off our 2024 masterclass series with an impressive line-up of industry executives. Bek, Sam and Tom are all experts in their field and boast strong knowledge of the regional media landscape and the significant benefits it can deliver for clients.

“I’m confident our first masterclass for the year will provide valuable insights for advertising and media staff from across the country, particularly as they continue to drill down on their 2024 marketing strategies.”

Topics of the 2024 masterclass include client insights, unique opportunities in regional media, regional advertising prospects, and best practices. Panellists include Bek Fraser (head of growth for Koala), Sam Buchanan (chief executive officer of Independent Media Agencies Australia), and Tom Wenborn (Executive Creative Director at Thinkerbell).

Additional masterclasses later in the year will feature new facilitators, Fusion Learning.
