About Organization
To elevate the strategic positioning and communication effectiveness of the Network Operations & Supervisory department within Rakuten Mobile. Drive key initiatives, craft compelling narratives for internal and external audiences, and manage cross-functional programs to enhance visibility, streamline collaboration, and align department's contributions with Rakuten Mobile's broader business objectives.
Job Duties
- Strategic Communication: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy articulating the department's vision, progress, and impact. Translate complex technical operations and achievements into clear, business-focused updates for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Content & Thought Leadership: Prepare high-impact content—including presentations, reports, and talking points—for internal town halls, executive briefings, and external thought leadership opportunities.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as a key interface between Network Operations and other business units (e.g., Product, Engineering, Commercial). Map departmental interdependencies and foster strong working relationships to drive alignment and operational efficiency.
- Business Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of the department's business drivers, operational KPIs, and strategic value. Use this insight to inform communication priorities and identify opportunities for improved positioning.
- Program Management: Lead and manage strategic, cross-functional programs originating from the Network Ops department, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications
Required: MBA or equivalent Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in program management, corporate strategy, or strategic communications, preferably within a technology-driven environment. Exceptional content creation and storytelling ability, with proven success in simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences. Demonstrated program management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives. Business-level proficiency in English is essential, Japanese language skills will be an added advantage.
Preferred: Experience within the telecommunications, technology, or network infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global organization. Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
