Distribution Training Director, Chief Agency Office

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision:
Lead the development and execution of the agency training strategy, aligning with overall business goals and future growth plans. Drive innovation in training methodologies, including digital and e-learning solutions, to enhance engagement and effectiveness across the agency sales force.

Team Management & Development:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing training team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and excellence. Oversee team performance, coaching, and succession planning.

Budget & Resource Management:
Develop, manage, and optimize the agency training budget to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Monitor costs and value-add initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Digital Transformation & Innovation:
Explore, pilot, and implement digital training solutions, such as e-learning platforms, mobile learning, virtual classrooms, and other innovative tools to improve accessibility, scalability, and engagement of training programs.

Training Program Design & Oversight:
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training curricula for agency personnel in different levels from new agents to leaders. Ensure programs are aligned with regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with sales leadership, HR, compliance, and external partners to identify training needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure seamless integration of training initiatives with business processes.

Regulatory & Compliance Assurance:
Ensure all training programs meet regulatory standards and internal governance policies. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and adapt training content accordingly.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, engagement, and business impact. Utilize feedback and analytics to continuously refine training strategies and content.

Market & Industry Trends:
Stay informed about industry developments, digital learning trends, and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge in agency training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; advanced degrees or professional certifications in training
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in agency or sales training, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or strategic role within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, strategic training programs, including digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and talent development skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Budget management experience with a track record of delivering ROI.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools, LMS platforms, and innovative training technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (spoken and written).
